Kanten / The edge

Kampen mot koftan fortsätter, håller just nu på med förlängningsbiten för att få rätt bredd.

Som jag tidigare skrev så hade jag börjat virka på min kofta och allt såg bra ut men döm av min förvåning när bredden krympt när jag kommit 30-40cm in i virkningen! Då garnet var jobbigt att repa så fick jag helt enkelt besluta mig för att virka en kant, som kommer avslutas med en spets, nä nu ska jag fortsätta så att den kanske blir klar någon gång.


The fight against the cardigan is still going strong, currently I am crocheting the edge to get the right width.

As I earlier wrote the width looked good in the beginning but after about 30-40 centimetres it had shrunk. Since the yarn is very hard to frog I had to decide to crochet an edge about 10cm before crocheting the lace edge. Well, I better get going so I will finish it soon...

Virkar vante / Crocheting mitten

Detta börjar kännas lite löjligt, ute är det sol och blommor och jag virkar vantar! Det går så sakteliga framåt, det är sådär när det finns roligare saker att göra.

It is starting to feel a bit ridiculous, there is sunny outside with flowers growing everywhere and I am crocheting mittens! The mitten is growing slowly, it is like that when there is a lot of other things to do.

Ett glömt projekt / A forgotten project

Där ligger den, vanten jag glömt av, och väntar på att bli klar. Det är konstigt ändå hur vissa saker bara blir liggande trots att de är ganska snabba att göra klart.

Nu börjar koftan bli lite för stor att ta med överallt, i ärklighetens namn har den nog varit lite för stor länge nu, och för att ha nåt att göra när jag åkte in till Göteborg för någon vecka sedan så fick krokningen hänga med istället. Äntligen börjar projektet röra på sig lite!


There it lies, the mitten I had forgotten about, and awaits to be finished. It is strange how certain things just seems to hide themselves despite that they could have been finished a long time ago.

Since the cardigan had grown into a quite big project, I took this project on the bus when I went to Gothenburg the other week, more room in the bag for shopping. So now the project has started to move towards completion, finally!

Broderi i Kil / Embroidery in Kil

Ett vackert broderi som visades upp av Hemslöjdskonsulenten i Värmland, skapare okänd.

A beautiful embroidery that was shown by the handicraft adviser in Värmland(roughly translated, it is a person that helps crafters promote themselves and travels around in their county to inspire and teach people how to craft. It is actually a worktitle and they work with this for a living, depending on the size of the county, ammount of people living there, the ammount of people hired to work with this might vary. Some cities actually have their own but that is only the bigger ones), creator unknown.

Utsikt från lägenheten / View from my apartment

För några veckor sedan tittade ut genom fönstret i min lägenhet och såg denna underbara solnedgång och kände mig tvungen att fota den. Kanske kan bli inspiration till något men egentligen tycker jag bara att den var fin att titta på.

Looked out my window a few weeks ago and saw this beautiful sunset. Maybe it will become some kind of inspiration but to be totally honest, I just found it beautiful to look at.

Vindsfynd / Attic finds

Städade i vinden och hittade mitt gamla projekt, då var det nästan lite för färgglatt men nu så känns det ganska rätt, är det våren som påverkar mig?

Såhär i efterhand tycker jag nästan att den är lite hårt virkad med jag vet inte om jag orkar repa upp den, försöker intala mig själv att det blir bättre efter tvätt.

Cleaned my piece of the attic and found my old project. When I started it I thought that it was a bit too colourful for me but now it seems quite rigt, maybe it is the springtime that is affecting me?

Looking at it now it seems that I have crocheted it a bit to tight but I am unsure if I will bother to rip it, maybe it will start look better after I have washed it?
