Nytt garn / New yarn

Har köpt lite garn till nästa projekt, får väl börja på det så jag kör två samtidigt men jag tror att jag avvaktar tills jag hunnit lite längre på koftan. Det svarta är Rowan fine tweed och det blå är Teetee cacao öglealpacka.

I have bought some yarn for my next project, I think that I have to start the project and have two at the same time but I believe that will wait until I have crocheted a bit more on the cardigan. The black yarn is Rowan fine tweed and the blue is Teetee cacao.

God Jul! / Merry Christmas!

Så är julen här igen och detta år firas julen med en av tidernas fulaste julgranar, den är rent av sanslöst ful!

Christmas is here again and this year I am celebrating by looking at one of the ugliest Christmas-trees of all time, it is painfully ugly!

Fortsätter sticka på koftan, det hade nog i ärlighetens namn gått snabbare om jag ägnat lite mer tid åt att läsa beskrivningen... Är inne på kragen och har hittills repat upp den tre gånger då jag envisats med att sticka först och läsa sedan. Nu har jag läst och jag vägrar att repa upp en endaste gång till, nu ska jag lyckas!


I am still knitting my cardigan, if I am completely honest it might have been done by now if I had used more time to read the pattern... I am knitting the collar now and have so far frogged it three times since I have stubbornly been knitting first and reading later. I have now read the pattern and I refuse to frog it again, I shall succeed!

Ärmkrok / Sleeve-hooks

Jag har alltid haft lite problem med att ärmhålen dragits ut och att maskorna blivit lösa och fula men inte längre!

Ibland får man ett litet snilledrag och igår var en sådan dag, i och med att jag använder mig av scrapbooking-ringar för tillfället i ett annat projekt så hade jag några liggande. Då mina markörer verkar ha flytt fältet så tog jag det som fanns närmast till hands, scrapbooking-ringarna, och det visade sig vara perfekt för att hålla koll på hoptagningar och att hålla ihop ärmhål. Nu slipper jag att de sträcks ut och jag är så glad för det!

I have always had a bit of a problem with the armholes getting stretched out and the stitches getting ugly, but not anymore!

Sometimes an idea appears and yesterday was such a day, since I'm using scrapbooking-rings for the moment in another project I had a few laying around. My knitting markers seem to have escaped so to keep track on what I'm doing I had to use something, and these rings turned out to be perfect to keep track of decreases and holding together the armholes. By using these, the armholes keep a perfect shape and I don't have to worry about getting those ugly stitches between the body and the sleeves, I'm so happy!
